Our Kitchen in a BOX™ & Bath in a BOX Kits™ are tailored specifically to YOUR project so that we can offer you the best kit available on the market with the least amount of waste and most value possible.
Bedrock Creations manufactures a complete, color matched, granite tiling system. No two blocks of granite are alike. We do NOT make our components out of scrap but rather quarry and mill complete blocks of granite. In this way we can reserve a part of the stone to make COLOR MATCHED Tiles, Edge Rails and other components of our system to provide the most professional finished look available in the world !
Our system requires no polishing, fabrication or specialty skills. If you can lay ceramic tile, you can install a Bedrock Creations “Kitchen or Bath in a Box.”™ Just cut and install!
The amount of equipment needed is minimal. Some tools of the trade are needed such as a tile saw which can either rented from a local Home Depot or Lowes, or rental yard. You may also consider purchasing a tile saw. Prices range from about $88.00 up to several hundred.
Other specialty tools are a sponge for cleaning the grout, a rubber float for applying the grout, and a trowel for applying the thinset.
Most other tools are common like a circular saw for cutting plywood for the base, a drill and mixer for mixing the thinset, a level or straight edge.
You will need to build that base just mentioned by screwing plywood down the plywood to the countertop with drywall screws and nailing down the cementious backerboard to the plywood with roofing nails spaced every 6 to 8 inches apart. Add liquid nails from a calking tube for extra bonding.
After building your base you are about to embark on creating your very own “slab like” granite countertop. The Bedrock Creations system is like a marriage between granite tiles and granite slab giving you that slab like edging and high end look without the high end price. You save money and time because you can do it yourself.
The components for creating your granite countertop are simple; granite tiles, granite tile edges, outside corners and quarter rounds for Backsplashes and Under Mount Sinks. These are all the same basic components use for decades in the ceramic and porcelain tile industry. Bedrock Creations didn’t reinvent the wheel, they just made it out of granite.
